Salads are great meals for filling up on something light and delicious. They are perfect for summer and can be spiced with a variety of toppings and additions. Salads do not have to be boring, and I prove this by giving you a salad made with a kale, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage and chicory mixture. Topping this mixture with dried cranberries, feta cheese, and pumpkin seeds add a neccessary sweetness and crunch to the meal. Lastly, I used a poppy seed dressing to coat my salad giving this mixture a tangy touch.

The best things about salads are its multeity. The options are endless, and you can never produce anything unsatisfying. Whether the base is made from spinach, kale, lettuce or sprouts, your creativity is limitless, but just like everything in life, it needs balance. Packing your salad with protein may not be the best option. We want to create ideal portions and keep the meal as light as possible.
Balance is neccessary for health as well. Over indulging packs on unwanted calories and keeps us from our goals. Use smaller bowls and appliances when eating to maintain a reasonable portion size.
Enjoy this salad, and keep using your imagination to create your #FitKitchen.
