To live authentically is to offer your true Self to the world. This means knowing

who/what you truly are, tuning in with your spirit, and understanding your personality.

Seems easy enough, right? Just get up, overcome the external pressures that feed your ego, and simply be your Self! Well, here’s what happens often, because we live in a society that makes every effort to increase insecurities and decrease faith, a struggle ensues between the ego and the true Self, and our genuine personality suffers. When you repair the relationship between ego and Self, you will be free to live as the most authentic version of You.

The ego’s job is to gather information from our experiences, and produce reactions that are best for the true Self. The ego is meant to serve the true Self, the part of our being that would choose to express the highest degree of character. Somewhere along the journey however, a change takes place. Life experiences breakdown communication between the ego and the true Self; the ego begins to serve itself rather than serving the true Self. When the ego reacts with the intention to serve itself, authenticity is lost. We begin living to please the world rather than living to please our true Self. If you allow the world to determine who or what you will be, you miss the opportunity to Be Who You Truly Are.

There are several ways to begin creating authenticity in your life so that you will have

the most genuine experiences:

Be Honest… Beyond offering honesty to those we encounter, it is most important to

offer honesty to ourselves. Tell yourself the truth. Be open to facing your insecurities and weaknesses, and give sincere effort to strengthening these areas in your life. Honesty with Self will lead you to...

Continually Develop Yourself… Identify aspects of your life that could use remodeling to

better reflect who you truly are. Spend a significant amount of time developing your core values, and this means determining what is important to YOU, not what you were told is important. Personal development is your chance to rebuild yourself and recover from all that the world has impressed upon you. Take advantage of this opportunity to…

Ask For Help… Reach out to the most influential people in your life to gain clarity of

your strengths and insight into how others are receiving you. You may be surprised by the way other people experience you versus what you think you are presenting. If there are any characteristics that do not represent the authentic you, change them. Asking for help will reestablish communication between the ego and the true Self; it serves as a lesson in humility and tames the ego. An ego that is no longer serving itself will enable you to…

Ignite Your Faith… Your true Self is the part of you that is fearlessly faithful, and free

from insecurities. Establish the core values that you believe in and uphold those values by displaying them in your actions. Place the faith that you have in your Self at a level that doubt cannot reach. Once you accept that the power within you is greater than any in the world, you will have the confidence to…

Do You… Set your Self free. Put your ego back in its place, so that you can live as your

real, genuine, bona fide Self. By creating and offering the most authentic version of your Self, you can be of service to the world rather than being a servant of the world.

Yes! So, be honest with your Self, figure out who and what you really are and ask people around you to help in
