We all make excuses for why we can't exercise. "I don't have the energy," or "I just don't have time" are two BIG excuses that are blocking you from reaching your full potential. Yes, your work day may be too hectic to fit in an hour of cardio, but that doesn't mean you can't maintain an active lifestyle. You have to be willing to commit, and the ONLY way you are going to maintain a healthy lifestyle is if you are MOTIVATED to do so. Let's explore some options to make sure your level of intensity stays at an all time high!
#1 Surround yourself with POSITIVE people and those who are SUPPORTIVE of your goals. When facing those tough days, having a positive support system is neccessary to make it through the storm!
#2 REMEMBER why you started in the first place. Reflecting on your motives is key to keep pushing forward. It gives incentive to dedicate yourself a bit more when you lose track of your path.
#3 IMAGINE. This may seem quite simple, but imagining where you want to be in the future allows you to never let go of the prize. Although you may not see the reward currently, you know the reward will be great in the future.
#4 STOP MAKING EXCUSES!!! Excuses lead to disappointment, and when you make them, you find yourself limiting your ability to make a difference. Every little thing counts! Next time you catch yourself saying "I don't have time to exercise," know something is better than nothing!
#5 SMILE!!! The flexing of your facial muscles is just enough energy to burn a calorie but also enough to send positive vibes into the environment. Smiling is an important indicator of happiness and happiness is a major part of being healthy.
Motivation is key to maintaining an active lifestyle, and these five tips are simple ways to make sure you stay on track. There will be rough days, but those days will only make you stronger.
GET MOTIVATED. BE MOTIVATED. STAY MOTIVATED.
